AFF Seeks Committee Members & Volunteers for March 2013

Hello Film Fans,
After the resounding success of the First Annual Shorts Crawl on September 23rd, you can begin to see what we are planning for our March festival. It will be a four day long celebration of 50-70 features, shorts, narrative, animation and student films along the West Street Arts District corridor. We are planning to bring in film experts, industry guests, distributors, filmmakers, actors and others to the beautiful destination city in which we live.

We are seeking additional people to help up on a volunteer basis to work on several areas in preparation for the 21-24th of March. If you have skills or an interest in public relations, marketing, hospitality, operations, logistics, programing, technology, data base management and administration.

If you would like to find out more, please email us at volunteers@annapolisfilmfestival.net.

AFF Shorts Crawl a resounding success!

Hello All!
Thank you for coming out to support us at our first community film event, the Annapolis Film Festival's First Annual Shorts Crawl! It was a gorgeous day in September full of fun, friendship and film screenings. Nine films in all were selected by our Programming Committee. It was a combination of narrative, documentary and animated short films that were shown to approximately 430 film fans in one day!

Thanks to the many volunteers, committee chairs, Board Members, venues on West Street and sponsors who made this great event possible.

Take a look here at a few snapshots that capture the day!

We are Official!!!!

Hello Film Lovers, Talk movie to me! We are excited to let you know that we have had our "coming out party" for festival donors this week. It was a lovely movie-themed event held at Board President, Rick Foster's private home in Edgewater. Over 150 of Annapolis' "Who's Who" list was in attendance. Food was provided by Palate Pleasers, wine by Mills Liquors, costumes courtesy of the Bay Theatre Company and the Candy Girls makeup and hair was done by Morgan Gerard Salon and Spa. We are official with dates on the 2013 calendar for March 21-24th. In addition, thanks to the efforts of Herrmann Advertising, we have now launched our official festival website found at www.annapolisfilmfestival.net. Check it out!
